Concurrent
Sessions for Contributed Papers
Several concurrent fifteen minute presentations of contributed papers
are anticipated. Papers in all areas of Applied Mathematics are
welcome. Also anticipated are several sessions of student papers.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the top student papers.
If you are interested in organizing a special session devoted to
a particular topic/area, please contact Shan Manickam (mnkm@email.wcu.edu)
at (828) 227-3948. Possible topics might include Numerical Linear
Algebra, Image Processing, Wavelets, Differential Equations, Mathematical
Biology, Financial Mathematics, Teaching/Education in Applied Mathematics
(e.g., a session on undergraduate research projects or how your
own research can be used in the classroom), and Undergraduate Research
Experience.
As of now, special
sessions on mathematical biology, graphy theory, and teaching mathematical
modeling are being organized:
